Game Recap

Edgewood built an early edge on Saturday, but Lawrence Central roared back to steal a 3-2 victory.

An RBI double by Nick Conner gave Lawrence Central the lead in the eighth inning.

Lawrence Central couldn’t get anything going so long as Phillip Terrell was on the hill. Lawrence Central managed just one hit off of Terrell, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three during his three innings of work.

Seth Fleming got it done on the bump on the way to a win. He tossed five innings of shutout ball. He struck out seven, walked four and surrendered one hit.

Ryan Pursell was the game’s losing pitcher. He lasted just three innings, walked one, struck out five, and allowed one run.

In the bottom of the second, Edgewood grabbed the early lead, 1-0. Connor Morton singled to ignite Edgewood’s offense, before Ryan Pursell doubled, plating Curtis Cowden.

Lawrence Central went up for good in the eighth, scoring one run on an RBI double by Conner.
