Cascade falls 13-3 at the hands of Edgewood
Edgewood beat Cascade on Saturday 13-3 in seven innings.
Edgewood scored five runs in the seventh on Edgewood scored in the seventh on an RBI double by Gavin Robinson, an RBI single by Joe Kido, an error, and a two-run double by Connor Morton.
The teams traded runs for most of the contest, leading to five lead changes in the game.
Edgewood finally managed to grab the lead after a strong fourth inning. Edgewood scored on an RBI single by Kido off Blake Collier, scoring Phillip Terrell.
Tanner Kolbe racked up three RBIs on three hits for Edgewood.
Morton recorded the win for Edgewood. He allowed three runs over seven innings. He struck out seven, walked six and surrendered eight hits.
Collier took the loss for Cascade. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked one and struck out two.
The top of the first saw Edgewood take an early lead, 1-0. Edgewood got things going when Kolbe singled.
Edgewood went up for good in the fourth scoring three total runs, which came home on an RBI single by Josh Parrish.
After posting two runs in the fifth, Edgewood again scored two in the sixth. In the fifth, Edgewood scored on an RBI double by Morton, bringing home Kolbe.
