Edgewood High School
Clay City High School
Bloomfield carded a 157 at the Hoosier Hills course, followed by Clay City (161) and Edgewood (173).
Edgewood coach Garry Lee said. “None of our guys had ever played that course before. Jackson Wendel had a triple-(bogey) on the final hole and still led us with a 40. Noah (Brooks) shot his low round of the year, a 46.
“We were a little short-handed in that Austin Langley and Nathan Hupp had to attend a Boys State meeting with their folks, and might have shot a couple of strokes lower, but 173 is close to what we should be shooting and we’d probably have been around that number. And I’ll say this — I’ve had enough of the rain. I tell folks they can always tell when it’s going to rain just by checking to see when we’re scheduled to play.”
