Game Recap

The Edgewood Volleyball team left the gym last night with a win but Greenwood Christian Academy didn’t make it easy on them. The Mustangs didn’t come prepared for the fast-paced, scrappy Cougars team and ended up letting the first two sets get away from them with a rough serve receive and multiple errors in hitting and serving. Edgewood knew they had to step it up in order to pull out a win and that is exactly what they did. They minimized their errors, started picking up the intensity level and played the way that they know best and it paid off for them in the next three sets. Maddie Hartley had a season high of 11 kills and also served 12 pts, and had 5 digs. Kendall Souder had 17 pts, 2 aces, 20 assists, 6 kills, 2 block solos, 1 block-assist, and 12 digs and Abby Brinegar ended the night with 4 pts, 5 assists, and 20 digs. The Mustangs will take on the Bloomfield Cardinals this Thursday at home at 7pm – Varsity only. GO MUSTANGS!
