Multiple Teams · Austin Haskett becomes the 3rd XC Runner in EHS History to Medal at State Championship Meet

Of the thousands of Cross Country Runners that began the season, just over 200 competed in the IHSAA State Championship Meet at LaVern Gibson Course on Saturday.

Edgewood was well represented by Sophomore Austin Haskett who became the 3rd Cross Country Runner in EHS history to make it to the medal stand at the state championship meet. The only other EHS runners to earn this honor were Greg Hottell and Charlie Warthan.  Austin’s tremendous effort earned him an 18th place finish with a time of 16:13.6.

Edgewood was also well represented in the crowd! Austin had an incredible cheering section of classmates, teammates, parents and friends!

We are so proud of Austin’s hard work and huge accomplishment, his coaches, and the fan support he received. Congratulations to all on a great season!
