Edgewood High School
Orleans High School
As Coach Neill said, “It was a tale of two halves.” What was a close game at halftime turned into a decisive victory for Edgewood as they picked up their 14th win of the season (against 8 losses) by a 57 – 32 count at Orleans. Trailing by 1 at the half, the Mustangs clamped down on defense and limited their hosts to only 11 second half points (on 5 of 22 from the field) while tallying 37 points themselves. Overall, the Mustangs shot 20 of 36 from the field while holding Orleans to 12 of 41.
Cooper Bybee again led the way for Edgewood, with 20 points and 5 rebounds. In addition, the Mustangs got a big lift from Caleb Norris (in his first game back from a concussion) and Cam Banister (coming back from sickness), with each scoring 10 points on a combined 9 for 11shooting and grabbing 4 rebounds apiece.
Jason Brown also turned in a strong performance, narrowly missing a double-double with 9 points and a team-high 9 rebounds. Rounding out the scoring for Edgewood was Joe Kido with 6 points, and Chayton Howard with 2 points to go along with his 5 rebounds.
