Edgewood High School
Northview High School
Edgewood could never quite dig their way out of the first quarter hole they were in due to an early scoring barrage by host Northview, and they lost on the road by a 76 -61 count. After falling behind by 12 at the end of the first quarter, the Mustangs basically played the Knights even the rest of the way, but were never able to put a run together to close the gap.
Cooper Bybee led Edgewood with 23 points, while Chayton Howard added 17 points and a team-high 7 rebounds. Joe Kido had 8 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists in a nice all-around game, and Caleb Norris came off the bench to chip in 4 points and 6 rebounds.
Completing the scoring for the Mustangs was Jason Brown with 6 points, Jayce Collier with 2, and Cam Banister with 1.
The Mustangs close the regular season at Mitchell on Friday night.
