Edgewood watched the game slip away early and couldn’t recover in a 5-2 loss to Bloomington North on Saturday. Bloomington North took the lead on a double in the first inning.
Bloomington North took an early lead in the first inning. Bloomington North scored one run when Grant Druckemiller doubled with two outs in the first inning.
Dylan Steele earned the win for Bloomington North. He pitched three and two-thirds innings, allowing one run, two hits, and striking out five. Phillip Terrell took the loss for Edgewood. He threw four innings, allowing four runs, six hits, and striking out two.
Connor Morton led Edgewood with two hits in four at bats.
Bloomington North had seven hits in the game. Steele and Druckemiller each collected multiple hits for Bloomington North. Steele went 3-for-3 at the plate to lead Bloomington North in hits.
