A walk-off left Edgewood on the wrong end of a 4-3 defeat to Indian Creek on Tuesday. Indian Creek was down 3-2 in the bottom of the seventh inning when Eric Braughton singled off of Connor Morton, driving in one run.
Indian Creek took an early lead in the second inning. An error scored one run for Indian Creek.
Edgewood scored three runs in the fifth inning. Edgewood scored on a walk by Connor Morton, a walk by Ethan Vecrumba, and a walk by Gavin Robinson.
Dawson Read earned the win for Indian Creek. He threw one inning, surrendering zero runs, zero hits, striking out one, and walking zero. Morton took the loss for Edgewood. He went six and a third innings, allowing four runs, nine hits, striking out five, and walking zero.
Eric Braughton started the game for Indian Creek. He threw four and a third innings, surrendering three runs, five hits, and striking out seven.
Morton, Vecrumba, and Robinson each drove in one run to lead Edgewood.
Indian Creek had nine hits in the game. Max Walls and Dylan Sprong each collected multiple hits for Indian Creek. Indian Creek didn’t commit a single error in the field. Jeremy Lee had ten chances in the field, the most on the team.
