Edgewood jumped out to an early lead over Brown County and took home a 13-1 victory on Tuesday. Edgewood scored on a groundout by Josh Parrish and a home run by Phillip Terrell in the first inning.
Edgewood captured the lead in the first inning. Josh Parrish grounded out, scoring one run.
Edgewood scored four runs in the third inning. The big inning was thanks to a double by Connor Morton and a error.
Morton earned the win for Edgewood. He went four innings, giving up one run, two hits, striking out six, and walking one. Eli Snider took the loss for Brown County. He threw two and two-thirds innings, surrendering 11 runs, six hits, and striking out one.
Edgewood collected nine hits. Tanner Kolbe, Morton, and Phillip Terrell each collected multiple hits for Edgewood. Terrell, Morton, Ryan Stuffle, and Parrish each drove in two runs to lead Edgewood.
