Mitchell High School
Edgewood High School
The mustangs fell to Mitchell on Friday night by a score of 36 to 7. While this is not what the boys were hoping for, they fought hard through out the game until the end. The downfall, were 4 turnovers created by the Bluejackets. Each of the turnovers led to the Mitchell scores.
Edgewood was led on offense by Sophomore John Mcglothlin, with a team high of 82 yards rushing. Juniors Eithan Jacobs and Jacob Merriman were also great contributors in the backfield.
On defense, the Mustangs were very balanced. Sophomore Schuyler Curtis led the team with 10 tackles, while senior Tyler Calvin had 8 tackles. Calvin also recorded an interception while Senior Joel Strickler was able to recover a fumble in the game.
The Mustangs fought hard all game. If they continue to play hard and keep working in practice, good things will come for this team. They have a really tough test next Friday in an away game at Northview.
