Cloverdale High School
Edgewood High School
On Friday night, the Edgewood Mustangs lost a tough battle to Cloverdale, 19-10. The boys were led on defense in tackles by Sophomore Schuyler Curtis with 8 tackles. On offense they were led by Seniors Andrew Graef and Cole Hall in the passing game. Graef had 111 yards passing, while Hall had 72 of those yards.
Edgewood came out firing as they opened the first quarter with a 10-0 lead. A few errors and mental mistakes cost the Mustangs the lead by the half, 12-10. In the second half, Edgewood played hard and competed very well. A late interception that was returned down to the 5 yard line was called back due to a block in the back. We had chances to win the game, but just came up short.
Next Friday, the Mustangs will travel to Owen Valley for a 7:00 kick off against the Patriots.
