Game Recap

The Mustangs were victorious on Friday night, beating the South Putnam Eagles by a score of 21-0. It was the first win for the Mustangs on the season. Edgewood had several great performances on the night, including 107 yards rushing from Eithan Jacobs. Senior Tyler Calvin and Sophomores John Mcglothlin and Schuyler Curtis all had rushing TD’s in the game.

On Defense, the Mustangs were lead by Junior Zaric Priest. Priest had 10 total tackles, including 3 sacks and 4 tackles for loss. This was the first shutout for the Mustang Defense in several years.

Most impressive on the night, were the Offensive and Defensive Linemen. They really controlled the game through out and was a big reason why the Mustangs were able to pick up the win. Seniors Ryan Stuffle and Jordan Headdy speared the effort with great leadership and determination.

The Mustangs will be back in action this Friday, as they travel to Indian Creek. The kickoff will be at 7:00.
