The Edgewood Freshmen rode a strong performance by Cayden Howard to a 44 – 32 victory over visiting Orleans. Howard scored 24 points on 10 of 12 shooting from the field to lead the Mustangs to their 4th victory of the season against only 1 loss.
Though overall it certainly wasn’t Edgewood’s strongest outing of the year, they jumped out to a 12 – 4 lead after one quarter and were never seriously threatened.
Complementing Howard’s performance was Aiden Georges, who scored 8 points, including a 3-pointer at the halftime buzzer to send Edgewood into the locker room with a little momentum.
Rounding out the scoring for the Mustangs was Henry Doering with 4 points, and Cam Ingalls, Brayden Robinson, Josh Webb, and Gabe Headdy with 2 points each.
The Edgewood freshmen are off until next Monday, when they host Terre Haute South.
