The Edgewood JV lost a hard-fought contest at Terre Haute South by a score of 58 – 54. The Mustangs withstood an early onslaught that saw the Braves connect on six 3-pointers in the first quarter, and held their hosts to only 5 second-quarter points to take a 1-point lead into the locker room at the half. The second half was a back and forth affair that unfortunately found Edgewood coming up just short at the end.
Derek Farkas scored 28 points (and also led Edgewood in rebounding) and Logan Slabaugh added 16 to pace the Mustangs’ attack. Rounding out the scoring for Edgewood was Zay Doering and Sean Sims with 3 points each, and Zeke Powell and Caden Huttenlocker with 2 apiece.
The JV Mustangs look to rebound on Friday evening when they host Greencastle.
