Edgewood’s run at the Wabash Valley Classic came to a disappointing end with a 70 -68 loss to Robinson, IL. Unlike the previous 2 games, the Mustangs jumped ahead early, but unfortunately couldn’t sustain their advantage. A cold shooting 2nd quarter and an equally futile stretch of about 3 minutes in the 4th quarter led to Edgewood’s second consecutive loss.
Once again, the Mustangs were led in the scoring column by Trevor Taylor with 21 points. In addition, Coleman Sater scored 15 points, Derek Farkas 11, and Tate Balcam had 9. Rounding out the scoring for Edgewood was Cam Banister with 6 points, Joe Kido with 5, and Austin Schwartz with 1 point.
The Mustangs are now 9 – 2 on the season, and are off until January 4 when they play host to Brown County.
