The Edgewood Mustangs eased their record to 3 – 0 with an 88 – 47 dismantling of Cloverdale. Complementing numerous strong drives to the basket with unselfish play that led to finding the open shooter, the Mustangs were very efficient on offense and knocked down 14 three-pointers on the night.

In addition, Edgewood’s defense forced numerous turnovers and held the Clovers to only 35% shooting for the game (17 for 49), including just 23% from 3-point range (6 for 26).

The Mustangs’ balanced attack had 5 players with double figures in the scoring column, led by Coleman Sater and Trevor Taylor with 19 points each. Derek Farkas had 14 points and Joe Kido added 13, while Kyle Rogers chipped in 10.

Rounding out the scoring for Edgewood was Tate Balcam with 6 points, Cam Banister with 4, and Logan Slabaugh with 3.

In addition to his 19 points, Sater added 11 rebounds to lead the Mustangs on the glass and record his second straight double-double.

Edgewood’s next game is Friday, December 7 at Cascade, followed by a Saturday evening contest at home against Bloomfield.
