Edgewood’s quest for a Sectional championship came to a disappointing end with a 46 – 45 loss to Brownstown. The Mustangs couldn’t get find any offensive consistency through the first 3 quarters against the Braves’ diamond and 1 defense, and then a furious 4th quarter rally came up just short.

Trailing 22 – 14 at the half, Edgewood stormed out of the locker room to take a 23 – 22 lead just 3 minutes into the 3rd quarter. Unfortunately, Coleman Sater had to leave the game due to injury and the Braves went on a 10 – 0 run to close the period and build a lead the Mustangs were unable to overcome.

Derek Farkas had 14 points to lead Edgewood, while Sater and Trevor Taylor both had 11. Parker Harrington added 6 points and Zeke Powell had 3 to complete the scoring for the Mustangs.

Edgewood finished the season at 15 – 11.
