The Freshman Mustangs salvaged a split on the day, winning the consolation game in the John Foutch Tournament 59 – 46 over West Vigo. Edgewood jumped out to an early lead and was able to keep the feisty Vikings at arm’s length throughout the game.
Cayden Howard scored 18 points, while Aiden Georges added 12 and Henry Doering 11 to lead the Mustangs’ attack. In addition, Nehemiah Yazzie and Brayden Robinson chipped in with 6 points each and Josh Webb had 3 points to round out the scoring for Edgewood.
The Freshman Mustangs are back in action at home on Monday evening as they play host to Shakamak.
