The Edgewood JV overcame a slow start to post a 57 – 55 victory at Orleans on Saturday night. The Mustangs were down 8 points at the end of the first period, then battled the Bulldogs to a tie in the second quarter to still trail by 8 at the half. However, the 2nd half saw Edgewood connect on 8 3-pt shots — 5 in a 22 point 3rd quarter–to power the come-from-behind win.
Jace Utley scored 16 points to lead the Mustangs, while Zay Doering and Logan Slabaugh chipped in with 14 and 11, respectively. In addition, Caden Huttenlocker scored 8 points and Derek Farkas and Landon Ringler each had 4 to complete the scoring for Edgewood.
