The Edgewood JV started the game by pitching a shutout in the first quarter, then cruised to a lopsided 63 – 30 win at North Putnam. The Mustangs defensive pressure coupled with good ball movement on the offensive end was too much for the host Cougars, as Edgewood grabbed 12 steals and had assists on 15 of their 26 field goals.
Henry Doering led the Mustangs with 18 points, while Brayden Robinson and Sean Sims both chipped in with 11. In addition, Landon Ringler had 7 points, as did Aiden Georges, who also had 6 steals, 4 assists and 4 rebounds. Caden Huttenlocker had 6 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists, and Josh Webb had 3 points to complete the scoring for Edgewood.
The Mustangs take the floor again on Saturday evening when they host Monrovia.
