The Edgewood JV stretched a 7 point halftime lead into a 20 point advantage midway through the 3rd quarter, only to nearly give it all away in a chaotic final 10 minutes. However, in the end, visiting Northview’s rally came up short and the Mustangs prevailed 64 – 60 to improve their record to 9 – 1 against Western Indiana Conference opponents and 16 – 5 overall on the season.
Landon Ringler continued his strong play of late and led Edgewood with 21 points while also grabbing 4 rebounds. Aiden Georges had a solid overall game as well, scoring 13 points, passing out 5 assists and collecting 5 rebounds. In addition, Caden Huttenlocker scored 11 points, Henry Doering had 9 points and 4 rebounds, Sean Sims scored 8 points, and Xzander Hammonds hit 2 clutch free throws to round out the scoring for the Mustangs.
Edgewood is back on the court on Friday evening when they host Mitchell.
