Edgewood improved its record to 17 – 4 with a 79 – 59 victory at Mitchell. After the teams played to a 17 – 17 tie in the first quarter, the Mustangs broke the game open in the 2nd and 3rd periods and coasted to the 20 point win.
Four Edgewood players reached double figures, led by Trevor Taylor with 23 points. In addition, Coleman Sater and Cam Banister scored 13 points each and Tate Balcam had 11. Rounding out the scoring for the Mustangs was Houston Holmes with 8 points, Joe Kido with 6, Kyle Rogers with 3 and Austin Schwartz with 2.
Edgewood is back on the road for a Tuesday night contest at 4A Franklin, then return home on Thursday for a Senior Night game against Eastern Greene.
