Edgewood jumped out to a quick 12 – 0 lead at Orleans on Saturday night and never looked back in a 78 – 49 victory. Two early 3-pointers by Joe Kido sandwiched around an old fashioned 3-pt play by Cam Banister, followed by another 3-pointer by Kyle Rogers staked the Mustangs to a lead that was never in doubt the rest of the way.
Coleman Sater posted a double-double in the first half (10 pts, 10 rebs) on his way to game highs of 20 points and 13 rebounds. Three other Mustangs joined Sater in double figures with Derek Farkas scoring 13, Banister adding 11, and Kido 10. Tate Balcam and Rogers each added 8 points, while Houston Holmes scored 6 and Austin Schwartz had 2 to complete the scoring for Edgewood.
With the win, the Mustangs improved to 15 – 4 on the season. Edgewood will look to stay on the winning track when they travel to Northview on Tuesday evening.
