For the second straight night, Edgewood scored 44 points in the 2nd half. And for the second straight night, it wasn’t enough to overcome an anemic offensive first half and a good-shooting opponent, as the Mustangs fell to Monrovia 75 – 67.
Coleman Sater poured in a career-high 35 points and pulled down 11 rebounds to pace Edgewood. In addition, Trevor Taylor scored 17 points and dished out 4 assists, but unfortunately none of the rest of the Mustangs were able to consistently generate much offense.
Parker Harrington hit two 3-pointers and scored 6, Sam Kido added 5 points, Cam Curtis had 3, and Zeke Powell had 1 to complete the scoring for Edgewood.
The Mustangs will look to rebound when they host Bloomington North on Thursday evening.
