Edgewood’s two pitchers didn’t allow a single hit, as Edgewood defeated Brown County 10-0 on Tuesday. Tyler Marotz ripped a deep single to center to bring home the tenth and final run of the evening.
Edgewood opened up scoring in the first inning. Jordan Richey drove in two when he singled.
Edgewood put up four runs in the second inning. Kido, Harrison Pittsford, and Coleman Sater all contributed in the big inning with RBIs.
Luke Hayden earned the win for Edgewood. He went three and two-thirds innings, allowing zero runs on zero hits and striking out ten. Kido threw one and one-third innings in relief out of the bullpen.
Eli Snider took the loss for Brown County. He surrendered six runs on three hits over two innings, striking out one.
Edgewood racked up ten hits in the game. Ethan Vecrumba, Sater, and Hayden all managed multiple hits for Edgewood. Vecrumba led Edgewood with three hits in three at-bats. Edgewood didn’t commit a single error in the field. Pittsford had ten chances in the field, the most on the team.
