The good news for the Edgewood Freshmen was that they won the second half 31-26. The bad news was that wasn’t enough to overcome their nightmare shooting performance in the first half, where they missed 17 of their 18 field goal attempts and all 7 of their free throw attempts, and they fell on the road to Bloomington South 52-33.
Offensively, Cayden Howard led the Mustangs with 16 points. In addition, Brayden Robinson had 5 points, Nehemiah Yazzie scored 4, Gabe Headdy and Aiden Georges had 3 points each, and Henry Doering scored 2 points for Edgewood.
Howard and Yazzie both had 5 rebounds to lead the Mustangs in that category.
The freshman team is back in action on Thursday evening as they host Linton.
