The Edgewood Freshmen team’s shooting was as cold as the temperature outside on Tuesday night, falling at Shakamak by a 39 – 28 count. The Mustangs connected on only 27% (10 of 37) of their field goal attempts, many of which were from point-blank range. Still, Edgewood led by 6 points heading into the 4th quarter, but the Lakers caught fire in the final period–pouring in 22 points– and the Mustangs couldn’t keep pace.
Jacob Boggs led Edgewood with 10 points, Ashton Moore added 9, Mack Headdy scored 4, Grant Coffey had 3, and Anthony Gough had 2 points to complete the scoring.
Boggs, Headdy, and Moore each grabbed 6 rebounds to lead the Mustangs in that category.
The Freshmen Mustangs are now off until January 6 when they travel to Brown County.
