The Edgewood Freshmen pulled out an exciting, closer-than-it-needed-to-be 51 – 49 victory at Monrovia. The Mustangs used a strong shooting performance (9 for 16 from 2 point range, 7 for 15 from 3-pt range & 12 of 14 from the FT line) to overcome a sloppy ballhandling outing to secure the win.
Cayden Howard led Edgewood with 20 points (on 5 of 6 from the floor and 8 of 10 from the line), while Brayden Robinson chipped in with 14 points (on 4 of 6 from 3-pt range). Cam Ingalls broke out of a scoring slump by adding 9 points, Nehemiah Yazzie had 6, and Aiden Georges had 2 to complete the scoring for the Mustangs.
Howard also pulled down 5 rebounds, as did Josh Webb, to lead Edgewood in that category.
