The Edgewood Freshmen played well, but in the end a missed shot here and there, and failing to get back on defense on a couple of possessions led to a close 48 – 42 loss to Hamilton Hts.

Nick McCullough and Zeke Weisner got the Mustangs off to a good start, each getting 2 baskets in the first quarter, while Xzander Hammonds helped keep the game close by scoring 11 points in the 4th quarter.

Overall, Hammonds led Edgewood with 18 points, while McCullough scored 11 points and had 5 rebounds. Zach Fulk added 5 points, Weisner finished with 4, and Kannon Collier also scored 4 points and pulled down 5 rebounds.

Anthony Gough didn’t score, but did grab 4 rebounds.

The Freshmen Mustangs ended their season as winners of 2 of their last 3 games, and definitely played their best basketball over the last 2 weeks.
