After 3 quarters of sluggish and sloppy play, a furious 4th quarter rally fell just short for the Edgewood JV as they lost 61 – 55 at Traders Point Christian Academy. The Mustangs fell behind by double digits early in the game, and still trailed by 15 heading into the final period. However, to their credit, they battled back to make it a close contest, pulling to within 3 points and had the ball with just over a minute to play. Unfortunately, that was as close as they were able to get.
Edgewood was led by Jalin White’s 25 points and 7 rebounds, while Brayden Robinson scored 9 and Josh Webb added 7 points. Rounding out the scoring for the Mustangs was Nick McCullough with 5 points, Joe West with 4 (to go along with 5 rebounds), Ashton Moore and Xander Hammonds with 2 points each, and Kannon Collier with 1.
The JV Mustangs will try to even their record on Saturday evening when they play host to Bloomfield.
