After playing to an 11 -11 tie at the end of the 1st quarter, the Edgewood JV slowly built a lead in the 2nd quarter. Then, after halftime the Mustangs really poured it on a frustrated Terre Haute South team on their way to an impressive 68 – 40 victory.
A strong overall team effort saw three Edgewood players reach double figures, led by a career-high 26 points from Landon Ringler. Sean Sims also had a strong game, with 15 points, 5 rebounds and 4 steals, while Caden Huttenlocker contributed 13 points and 4 steals.
In addition, Aiden Georges scored 5 points and dished out 4 assists, and Brayden Robinson also scored 5. Finally, Henry Doering and Josh Webb scored 2 points each, with Doering also adding a team-high 8 rebounds and 4 assists.
The Mustang JV will look to stay on the winning track when they travel to North Putnam on Friday evening.
