After jumping out to an 11-point first quarter lead, a lackluster 2nd period by Edgewood allowed Greencastle to close the gap. However, the Mustangs responded to Coach Moorhead’s halftime challenge, coming out of the locker room to outscore their hosts 21 – 3 in the third quarter and hold the Tiger Cubs to only 1 of 19 shooting in the entire 2nd half. The result was a 58 – 30 blowout victory for Edgewood, which improved their record to 10 – 4 on the season.
Caden Huttenlocker led the Mustangs with 18 points, while Landon Ringler scored 13 and Sean Sims had 11. In addition, Aiden Georges contributed 9 points, Henry Doering scored 5 and Xzander Hammonds had 2 to complete the scoring for Edgewood.
Aiden Georges pulled down a team-high 8 rebounds, while Sims and Ringler had 5 each. In other statistics, Brayden Robinson had 4 steals, and Georges and Doering both dished out 3 assists.
The Edgewood JV is off until next Saturday night when they travel to Bedford to face BNL.
