The Edgewood Lady Mustangs saw Brown County go on a 9-0 run with 4 minutes to go in the game to erase a 35-29 deficit, then closed out the game in overtime to defeat Edgewood 50-43. Once again Edgewood saw their opportunities to win a conference game falter at the free throw line, making only 9 of 26 attempts, eerily similar to the tough loss at Indian Creek. It was a tremendous defensive effort for Edgewood, holding Brown County to 38 points in regulation but key turnovers and the inability to finish on the offensive end led to sending them home with the loss. Edgewood was led by Chelbie Anderson with 16 points. Others who scored were Kaiden Harrington with 8, Carly Sherfield 6, Taylor Minnick 5, and Alle Spear and Trista Helms with 4 each. Edgewood is back in action on Monday for Senior Night as they honor Anderson, Spear, and Daphanie Ehrmann.
