With its most complete game of the season, the Edgewood Lady Mustangs held off an aggressive Sullivan team to win 51-37 for their second straight home win. Chelbie Anderson led the way with a solid shooting performance, going 4/5 from the field and a perfect 5/5 from the free throw line for 15 points. Cara Clark was also perfect from the free throw line going 6/6 along with a field goal for 8 points. Alle Spear continued her consistent year with 8 points, Taylor Minnick had 7, Kaiden Harrington 5, and Carly and Claire Sherfield each with 4 to round out the scoring. But the key to victory was the defensive presence on the perimeter that limited Sullivan’s attacking guards of getting to the basket. This, along with solid rebounding (led by Harrington’s 8) allowed the Lady Mustangs to close out the win. Edgewood turns right around on Monday for a home game against White River Valley with a JV start at 6:00 pm.
