Edgewood got a pay-back of sorts, avenging their worst loss of the last season with an impressive wire-to-wire 59 – 50 win over visiting Indian Creek. The Mustangs took advantage of a fast start that saw them pour in 22 first-quarter points, and then answered every challenge the Braves mounted the rest of the way.
For the game, Edgewood connected on 23 of 44 shots from the field, including a blistering 57% (8 of 14) from behind the 3-point line, while holding their normally good-shooting opponent to only 34% on the night.
Coleman Sater once again led the Mustangs with 15 points, and dominated the glass by pulling down a career-high 17 rebounds. Sean Sims added 13 points, and Zeke Powell had 10 points to go along with 6 assists. Finally, Caden Huttenlocker scored 9 points, Henry Doering had 4, and Landon Ringler had 2 to complete the scoring for Edgewood.
The Mustangs hope to make it two in a row, as they are back in action on short rest on Friday evening with a late 9:00 PM tip against Greencastle.
