The Edgewood Varsity led nearly from start to finish, defeating the rival Patriots in exciting fashion in front of an almost-full gym at Owen Valley by a score of 49 – 44. Although they connected on only 3 of their 16 three point attempts, the Mustangs were an efficient 17 of 29 (59%) from 2-point range and committed only 3 turnovers the entire game to come home with the victory.
Once again, Trevor Taylor and Coleman Sater proved to be a lethal 1-2 punch, as Taylor scored 17 points–punctuated by 2 crowd-pleasing dunks, and Sater added 15 points and 8 rebounds to lead the Edgewood attack.
In addition, Derek Farkas scored 6 points and a trio of Mustangs — Cam Curtis, Sam Kido, and Zeke Powell–all connected on big shots from long-range and had 3 points each. Finally, Parker Harrington scored 2 points and pulled down 5 rebounds.
The win was the 4th in a row for Edgewood, who will try to make it 5 when they travel to Greencastle on Saturday evening.
