The Edgewood Varsity was sluggish out of the gate, and things snowballed from there against a tough Bloomington South team in a 94 – 40 loss.
Jace Utley and Zeke Powell followed up their strong performances in the JV game, coming off the bench to lead the Mustangs with 10 and 8 points, respectively. Logan Slabaugh added 6 points, while Coleman Sater chipped in 5 points and led the Mustangs’ rebounding effort against the bigger and stronger Panthers.
Completing the scoring for Edgewood was Derek Farkas with 4 points, Cam Curtis with 3 points, and Zay Doering and Caden Huttenlocker with 2 points each.
The Mustangs will look to regroup as they play host to Martinsville on Saturday evening.
