It was a tale of two halves, as Edgewood started out strong but faltered in the second half in a 70 -54 loss to Bedford North Lawrence. The Mustangs controlled the game for the first two quarters, taking a 6-point lead into the locker room at the half. However, Edgewood could only muster 5 third-quarter points and could never sustain momentum after the break.
Trevor Taylor had 22 points to lead the Mustangs, with Joe Kido adding 8 points and Coleman Sater 6. In addition, Cam Banister and Kyle Rogers both scored 5 points, while Tate Balcam and Derek each had 4 to complete the scoring for Edgewood.
With the loss, the Mustangs are now 14 -4 on the season, and next play at Orleans on Saturday, February 9.
