Although the Edgewood Varsity could never quite break the game open against a well-disciplined Orleans squad, the final result never seemed in doubt in a solid 62 – 48 victory. The Mustangs outscored the Bulldogs by 3 points in each of the first 2 quarters, then opened up a little more breathing room after halftime to grab the much-needed win.
Once again, Edgewood was led by the dynamic duo of juniors Coleman Sater and Trevor Taylor, with Sater scoring 18 points and grabbing 11 rebounds and Taylor adding 16 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists.
In addition, Derek Farkas had 9 points and Zeke Powell scored 8, with Sam Kido, Sean Sims, and Caden Huttenlocker each hitting a 3-point shot, and Henry Doering adding a deuce to round out the scoring for the Mustangs.
Edgewood is back in action on Tuesday evening with the host the Knights from Northview.
